On the occasion of the release of the film Golda in Israel and around the world on August 24, the trailer for the film was unveiled on Tuesday July 25, 2023.
The film traces the life of Golda Meir. For those who do not know her, Golda Meir was an Israeli politician and diplomat, born on May 3, 1898 in Kiev, Ukraine, and died on December 8, 1978 in Jerusalem, Israel. She was Israel's fourth prime minister, from 1969 to 1974, and the first woman to hold that position in the country.

Nicknamed "the iron lady" for her strong and determined leadership, Golda Meir was an emblematic figure in Israeli politics. She played a crucial role in the development of Israel as a state, especially during critical moments such as the Six Day War in 1967.
It is the British-American actress, Helen Mirren who put herself in the shoes of Golda Meir in the film distributed by United King Films. The film's plot focuses primarily on the choices Golda Meir made during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, her complicated relationship with Henry Kissinger, the US Secretary of State (played by Liev Schreiber), and her considerable influence she has practiced internationally.
